"Choose your way" is an EVS project which aims to give young people ( mostly minors) with a "criminal" profile, a chance to proof that they are capable of doing good things in live... It involves local context, juvenile court, local organization, local target group and host family as a support for these young people in order to raise self esteem and awareness that a U-turn is possible. 10 young Belgian persons, will go individual to Slovenia, to stay in a local host family and to work with the local reality. The content of the work will be made together , in a partnership between sending, receiving organization , with the volunteer and all involved other "players". There will be less importance to the service but bigger to the learning and personal development. We hope for serious impact upon returning as the direct consequences will focus on the restoring of trust, direct contact and self esteem... Impact can also be seen in personal change...
