Chilrden's Rights around the World
Date du début: 1 mai 2016, Date de fin: 31 oct. 2016 PROJET  TERMINÉ

This project’s aim is to combine the fields of youth participation and children’s rights which are usually not discussed together despite their strong overlap. To reach this aim, three European youth organisations will share their practices, network and develop common positions. They will be supported by representatives of the International Falcon Movement (IFM-SEI). They will develop a joint strategy towards improving children’s rights and youth participation in Europe and discuss this strategy with experts and decision makers in the field. At the end of the project, a resolution regarding the situation of children and young people with a special focus on inclusion and diversion will be submitted to representatives of the European Parliament's Intergroup Children's Rights. It will strongly orient itself at the official SD topic "Enabling all young people to engage in a diverse, connected and inclusive Europe. Ready for Life, Ready for Society"All participants are active members of the project partners from Germany, Austria and Spain between age 13 and 30. The first event (May 2016, Berlin) is primarily designed for multipliers between age 18 and 30. Each project partner sends 3 members to this event to discuss which current trends and concerns there are in the child and youth policy in their countries. They will share their good practice examples in the field and then develop educational methods to work further on these issues with teenagers during the second meeting. Finally, they will discuss these trends and concerns with experts and policy-makers in Berlin. The second, much bigger event is designed for young people between age 13 and 18. Each project partner sends 15 young people and 3 people over 18 as multipliers (August 2016, Reinwarzhofen). The multipliers will facilitate workshops in the subject area of children’s rights and youth participation with a special focus on refugees and minorities. The results will be discussed with members of the European Parliament and local politicians and finally submitted to the European Parliament's Intergroup Children's Rights. IFM-SEI sends two facilitators to both events to provide a global perspective. This second meeting takes place in the framework of a large international camp, so that the participants can include not only their own, but also a global perspective in the resolution. Participants of the project will be empowered to actively engage in Europe’s civil society. Decision makers gain insight into life and perspectives of young people and can incorporate these perspectives into their decision making processes.
