The primary objective of the project is creation to children and young people with disabilities equal opportunities of participation in the life of society, their social adaptation and integration into society. The project meets aim of EVS, because it is directed on development of solidarity and promotion of active citizenship and mutual understanding among young people. First of all, the volunteer will develop mental and social skills of children through their communication and common activities. All these activities will be connected with European culture, thus the mutual understanding among volunteer and Russian children and youth will be developed. Besides, the EVS volunteer will increase interest to foreign cultures and languages, will try to break some stereotypes and as a result she will help youth and children to develop tolerance to other people. During realising of the project, volunteer will promote European values, involve youth and children into participation in different volunteer actions and events, tell about volunteering and it’s meaning. Youth in Europe are much more involved in non-formal education than in Russia, and a volunteer will try to smooth over these differences promoting European awareness by this way. So priorities of the Programme are matched by the project. Explaining all these things, youth and children will understand, that even though there’re so many diverse countries and cultures, the human values should be universal. All the actions performed will develop creativity and entrepreneurship of the volunteer, as well as social skills and competences to great extent.
