SICK AG has been taken part in mobility activities with an existing partnership between the SICK group Germany, its Hungarian subsidiary SICK Kft. and the Jedlik Anyos school. This mobility activity for 10 of our apprentises in different professions and of the firth until third year of trainingship supports the internationalisation of the company, the promotion of the group background and the training of intercultural competency of our apprentices. We get benefits relating controlling the employment market, especially in gaining junior employee, in Germany as well as Hungary. Beside the interculturel training we use the programm for a blended learning aspect in training the SICK project management tools. The project titel we choose considers national economic topics to widen the point of view of the apprentices from a company matter to a national economic one.
The cooperation has been established based on an initiative of SICK Kft. and SICK AG. The Hungarian subsidiary of the SICK AG has been interested in a cooperation with regional training organisations with the aim of making the company more attractiv for young professionals and gaining more junior employees. The SICK AG with its large trainingship department has been interested to prepare the appentices best for their futur place of work. This includes, to introduce the appentices in activities on surfaces to the production abroad and let them get to know the hole supply chain process. In addition, project management knowledge is very beneficiary for the appentices and their worklife. The Jedlik school has been cooperating because of gaining motivation for their pupils that results on an internship with a high practical orientation and on the stay abroad. So they are also prepared best for futur work places and they become more attractiv for the labour market.
Arrangements to reach the aims are as followed:
The project is worked out by the project management regulations of the SICK AG. Therefore, a training in the SICK project management tool called pro² takes place. The project activities, reportings and documentations correspond with these regulations. The project team consists of SICK apprentices and Hungarian pupils of Jedlik school.
One result of the international project team is the development of intercultural competency. Working together and speeking a foreign language strengthen it. In addition to that, visite of other companies, leixure time activities of the team members, guided tours in the parliament of the city with a discussion forum and living in Hungarian families also contribute to this.
The internship takes place in the SICK subsidiary in Hungary, SICK Kft.. The apprentises work there on surface topics to the German production. The apprentices become open minded to the situation and behaviour abroad, what promote the point of few relating the group background.
SICK Kft. gets in contact with the pupils of the professional school. This obtain a first meeting of young professionals with a high motivation for their trainingship and examinations. So SICK get to know a pool of possible applicants.
By gaining experiences within the SICK group and in project work the SICK apprentices become interesting as futur junior employees of the company. To document these performance the mobility activity is reported by the Europass Mobilität and within the certificate of trainingship.
