The project Ways to Russian at the Secondary Technical School Prerov is focused on the support of professional development and key personal and professional methodological competences of teachers of the Secondary technical school Prerov with the impact on learners and teachers in the Olomouc region in the field of teaching and learning Russian language and foreign languages.The project was designed to have at school well-informed and qualified teachers who engage learners´ attention not only by their own language skills, but also by the experience of travelling to a country where Russian is spoken. Teaching English and German languages was already implemented in 1990. Russian language as a second foreign language has been promoted gradually after a certain break. In the last two years it has been becoming a popular second foreign language in all fields of study, learners can choose it as a language for school leaving exams called „maturita“.Participants of the project are PhDr. Kateřina Režná and Mgr. Magda Obadalová. Both graduated from the Russian language in combination with another foreign language, both successfully wrote a dissertation on the Russian literature. Mrs Režná did not teach Russian for two decades, but at the beginning of her professional carrier she had never started with students in Russian as a new foreign language. She needs to update her professional methodical competencies of teaching Russian. The school will benefit when Mrs Režná develops her skills in alternative methods too. Mgr. Obadalová taught the Russian language, but she has never visited the country where Russian is spoken. The school needs the teacher who has travelled any country where Russian is spoken, current words and phrases are used. Both teachers need to get education in the Russian teaching methodology at technical school where pupils are not primarily focused on the foreign language, to raise the level of their language competencies, expand vocabulary, improve the use of the latest terms of contemporary Russian, adapt to the Russian on the Internet.The outcomes of the training aktivity will gain and develop Russian language skills and more effective communication. Both participants will obtain key competencies which extend beyond teaching border: social and methodological competences and competences of the reklation ton human identity. The training aktivity will develop a greater sensitivity to the communication proces, heightened perception and more accurate intuition and will provide more insight into who the teacher is and what their strengths, weaknesses and blind spots are.Participants of the project will extend and enrich the knowledge and skills of Russian language and methodology of its teaching. They will use authentic materials and the experience will be shared with colleagues from the department of foreign languages early after their arrival. The experience from the mobility will be implemented into workshops for teachers at the Secondary Technical School Prerov, which will be held in the end of August in the preparatory week of the school year 2017/2018. Applicants of the new project Erasmus KA1 + will be offered a cooperation. Experience of course will be implemented into presentations for pupils to support not only their interest in learning, but also learning foreign languages in general and perception of the European Union. And participants of the mobility will publish the article into newspape in the scope of the Czech Republic. If the article is not accepted, it will be offered to the newspaper in the local scope.Fully qualified teachers who are familiar with the latest trends of Russian language teaching will be a long-term benefit for our school. They will benefit not only the students with whom they will work the Europass, but also for other teachers as an example of good practice. We want to focus on mature choosing foreign languages and disseminating awareness that Russian is among Slavic languages most widely spread, spoken by 300 million people and the mother tongue for 160 million people, also one of the official languages of the United Nations, used in other organizations, and for our students it means a lot of job opportunities in the future. The project aims to increase the attractiveness of schools, obtaining new applicants of Russian language as an optional foreign language and creating key requirements for the development of international cooperation of teachers and partnerships between schools and institutions providing internship abroad within a European dimension.
