Certified-EU-Manager - Certified EU Project Manager

The project aims to raise the quality of EU project management, especially in candidate countries, through the development of an on-line self-assessment system, to be accompanied by a series of on-line courses allowing existing and future EU project managers to complement their prior learning and obtain certification as an EU Project Manager in the form of a "skill card". Based upon a multimedia system of accreditation of prior learning developed in the previously funded TELEMATICS project, the new software platform (initially via BUESPA and ISCN) will include a two-step self-assessment in addition to 12 learning modules (minimum). Around 350 learners and 30 training personnel are expected to participate in face-to-face trial courses across the 7 participating countries. End products will comprise Learner Guidelines, Course modules, a Self-Assessment System and the Skill Card. All will be made available, on-line, in EN. Guidelines will also be published in the form of a book and all course modules will be translated into additional partner languages (HU, ES, SL & RO). Information on the project will be disseminated at both European and national level through networks of IT managers, chambers of commerce and educational associations and via EU programme national contact points. The "skill card" accreditation will be delivered via a joint network of partners however recognition will still need to be sought by national qualification agencies. A pricing structure is also planned to ensure the system's sustainability: browsing will remain free with self-assessments being charged at EUR 10. Course fees will finance any maintenance and updating costs.
