CERF – Certification Standard for European Reference Framework Key Competences

The European Reference Framework (ERF) identifies and defines, for the first time at the European level, those eight (8) Key Competences (KC) that citizens require for their personal fulfillment, social inclusion, active citizenship and employability in our knowledge-based society. The Member States’ initial education and training systems should support the development of these Key competences for all young people, and their adult education and training provision should give real opportunities to learn and maintain these skills and competencies. CERF project aims to develop required skills & competences according to ERF in order to ease the access of the disadvantaged groups to the labor marker focusing specifically on the development of the following five (5) Key Competences:2. Communication in Foreign Languages (English) .4. Digital Competence6. Social and Civic Competences7. Sense of initiative and entrepreneurship, and8. Cultural awareness & expression4C.E.R.F. project aims to transfer and further develop, pilot test with end users and create according to ERF standards for the above Key competences the following:1. TRAINING CURRICULA and a COMPLETE TRAINER’S PACKAGE with methodology and tools for the training of disadvantaged groups 2. TRAINEE’S SYLLABUS for ERF KC No 7-Sence of initiative and entrepreneurshipin the form of a MULTIMEDIA TRAINING TOOL in compliance with the Adult Education and distance learning principles in order to adequately support self learning of less advantaged groups at one’s place, time & pace.3. CERTIFICATION SCHEME development for ERF KC No 7-Sence of initiative and entrepreneurship in a holistic approach (testing methodology & questions covering the total syllabus, supervising procedure, software supporting certification scheme, etc) according to the ISO/IEC 17024:2003 standard provided by the Hellenic Accreditation System S.A. (Ε.ΣΥ.Δ.Α.Ε.), and the guidelines that will be described by the newly founded National Organisation of Qualifications Certification (Ε.Ο.Π.Π.)
