Date du début: 1 août 2016, Date de fin: 31 déc. 2017 PROJET  TERMINÉ

COMIKS project addresses the lack of direct access to the wide world of entertainment, recreation and creativity, bridging the gap between formal education and job market. Final purpose of the project is foster the development, testing and launching of a scheme of non-formal learning mobility at European and international level in the field of entertainment. The project aims at allowing 24 young persons from Italy, Japan and Korea (3 with sight impairment) to attend an aptly designed VET course on comics and entertainment market, in order to exploit artistic and creative skills to enter a sector which is more and more promising. Comics are becoming one of the pillar of the entertainment industry, while ICT technologies and converging media are decreasing the threshold among paper, internet, tv and movies. A market rich in jobs, which barely knew crisis, partly still unexplored for a number of reasons, not last the lack of real VET delivery institutions in Italy. We plan to arrange a three weeks course, each week taking place in one of the partner countries, so to build up a professional training which will improve artistic skills of youngsters as well as knowledge of the sector and its related opportunities, relying on expertise renowned in the field and in connection with internationally acknowledged exhibitions. The youth involved will receive some English improvements in order to strenghten by online means; then they will travel to course location in Lucca, Tokyo and Seoul where they will attend lessons on drawing, writing and commercializing an entertainment product such as a comic book, plus some valuable information on the economy of the sector. They will be trained in using ICT tools for their work, and visit the exhibition taking place in the meantime to find actual application of the notions. A final event in Brussels, possibly in the European Parliament, will present the public project results and guidelines on how to exploit VET course in other contexts.
