PROJET
TERMINÉ
casablanca gGmbH is an established body for child and youth welfare services. Since 1995 casablanca is active in fields of youth development and parenting support in several districts of Berlin, Germany and is dedicated to the support of children, youth and families in difficult life situations. We have a wide range of offers to support families in parenting, education and development. Given the current political situation we also want to expand our range of services concerning refugees. The project "casablanca goes Copenhagen" is intended to gain an insight on how youth services in other European countries, in this case Denmark, works. Therefore we want to send 10 experienced professionals of youth services to a partner organization in Copenhagen to experience more locally organized approaches of youth services by job shadowing. The aim of the learning mobility is to learn more about the structures, hierarchies and processes of youth work in Denmark as well as to experience the work methods and projects offered for socially disadvantaged children, young people, families and fugitives in Copenhagen. The possibility to conduct job shadowings through the Erasmus+-program gives us the chance to exchange knowledge and work methods with other youth work professionals from Copenhagen. We want to send 10 participants to Copenhagen. They all possess many years of professional experience in working with socially disadvantaged children, young people and families and fugitives.Description of ActivitiesWithin the 4-day visit the participants visit diverse projects and enter a dialogue to exchange knowledge about different topics. Themes and projects are:- Projects with high-risk families- Parenting courses and children's group- Various city subprojects- Visit an inpatient facility for children and families- Social workers in day care centers and schools- Working with unaccompanied fugitives under 18- Working with volunteersProject implementationCasablanca supports the participants in organizational matters such as arrival and departure, accommodation or insurance matters. Furthermore, we work closely with the "EBB Europe GmbH", which specializes in the coordination of mobilities. They support us during the preparations for the logistics and other practical issues.- Selection of participants- Kick-off-meeting for all participants - Preparatory phase with the EU partner for the job shadowing (learning task, program, dates)- Preparation of the participants at group level (intercultural and language preparation) - Workshop (2 sessions)- Preparation of the participants at individual level (getting to know the host organization and the contact person on site, agreements on the learning task and the program through email or via skype)During the stay the participants will document their impressions and findings in a job shadowing diary. The monitoring and support of the professionals during the stay will be coordinated with the European partners. So the professionals are supported during their stay by one contact person on site and one in Germany. Similar to the stay also the follow-up will be coordinated in a European steering group at national and international level. Therefore after the learning mobility there is an individual call to follow-up (reflection of stay, preparing the dissemination of newly acquired knowledge, conclusions and possible further cooperations).Expected results and effectsWe expect that the staff participating in the project will learn more about the work methods and structures of another European organization in the field of youth services. These visits are intended to get new input, ideas and skills for the daily work with families in need. Another aim is to network with other professionals of youth work at European level to enter a dialogue about youth work and given the current political situation also about aid to refugees. Back in Germany the participants are supposed to spread their knowledge as multipliers in other committees. The job shadowings also contribute to a good cooperation with the partner organization. We also expect that the professionals will improve their English-skills during the stay.
