The High School Melkior Garré is located in French Guiana, in Cayenne, on the coast, and the rest of the French territory is covered over 90 % of rainforest. It is a school which offers general, technological and professional education and there are every year 1,500 students mentored by 200 teaching, administrative and technical staff. The school wishes to convey a positive image , especially because of the rehabilitation which is the subject since 2004, aims to improve student performance in exams, and the relationships between them . High school students are Guyanese , implying a multicultural society , a bilingualism often reinforced by the regular arrival of students of foreign origin that come from Brazil, Surinam , Guyana, and Haiti for most of them . Students have diverse backgrounds , sometimes difficult , and the delay in learning lessons . Teachers often lack the training to deal with difficulties in their practices and are convinced of the need for an innovative approach to an essential use of ICT , and that awareness of the environment and cultural heritage and Guyana European , are keys to getting the knowledge, master skills, give students confidence in their ability to succeed and be part of a citizen and a European dimension. So teachers wish to benefit from training courses focused on cross-cutting approaches to teaching , the use of ICT and education in art history and heritage. These courses will allow them to interact with other participants and European partners to enrich their analysis, their practice, their approach to teaching. These courses will have a direct impact on students and on the participants' motivation to pursue a dynamic projects and ongoing collaboration with the teaching staff of the school and other schools in Guyana and Europe. These courses will be presented through achievements and activities performed by students on environmental issues , history, arts and heritage, respect for others , European citizenship , in an exhibition that will be called " books Euro-Amazonians ." Project management will be using a steering committee and will be punctuated by time sharing acquired in training , information on courses provided to students to further reflection on the practical teaching and use of the tools available , balance sheets . This project is intended to give students taste for learning , confidence in their future , to stabilize the teaching staff and sustain projects to enhance the image of the school, to train other teachers and maintain this essential dynamic today.
