A basic goal with our project is the social adjustment with respect to diversity, the improvement of life quality and the total support towards the roma.The project that has initiated is named KEP, CARE (Children's Ark Roma Education). This project will take place in the area of Examilia that belongs to the municipality of Corinth. Presently CHILDREN'S ARK has in its disposal an area of a 2,000 m2 in the camp where a building (room) has been bought and placed in function for the reception of the romachildren.160 families live here and we have registered approximately 230 children that need to attend preeschool/school (we have registered their personal data in order to help them issue their health insurance documents, taken actions for their vaccination in cooperation with the Ministry of Health,aswell as organising athletic, cultural and entertainment events). These families live under the basic standards of living and are being discriminated in areas concerning education, residence, health, social insurance. The camp has no proper roads, nor poweror watersupply.Two EVS volunteers from France will help us during a five month period in this project.
