PROJET
TERMINÉ
Our project "Cap au Sud!" will allowed 11 young people - including 9 people with fewer opportunities - aged between 18 and 30 years, to take part in a short or long term European Voluntary Service.Among others, the objectives of this project are :- to give young people who live in difficult conditions the opportunity to experience life abroad ;- to increase their competences and employability ;- to raise their awareness of the common values shared by Europeans and to increase their feeling of belonging to the european community ;- to promote volunteering and European citizenship. The volunteer's activities will take place in 5 different organizations :- 2 volunteers will be hosted for two months in DHKEXE, in Greece, from the 1st of July 2016. Their tasks will be mainly : the development and maintenance of forests and coasts, the protection of the environment and activities about Greek culture.- 4 volunteers will do their EVS in Portugal, where they will be hosted by Peniche organization for one month (2 of them will be hosted in July 2016, the two others in October 2016). Their tasks will be related to activities for children.- 3 volunteers will go to Italy for a one-month EVS among Link team (in July, September and November 2016). They will take part in all the activities organized by their hosting organization (workshops with children, office work, tasks related to communication, international projects…) and more precisely, in the organization of sport activities for young people living in Altamura.- 1 volunteer will be hosted by Don Bosco organization in Spain for 10 months starting from November 2016. His tasks will be to inform young people about Erasmus+ program and to organize workshops and activities in the library and in the play room.- 1 volunteer will be hosted by Os Tilos organization in Spain, for ten months, starting from November 2016. He will organize activities for young people aged 9 to 17. He will also support the team members in the organization of workshops and in the management of the computer room. The methods used during the project will be mainly methods of non-formal education and « learning by doing ».The expected impact is first on the participants themselves. We want to make this EVS period to become a real springboard for their future, both personally and professionally. We also expect a wide impact at local level – as much in the cities which will host volunteers as in Montpellier, the city where is located i-PEICC. Indeed, by taking part in this project, volunteers will become ambassadors of European mobility and will bring open-mindedness to local communities they will meet.
