Campus Redingenhof goes International
Date du début: 1 sept. 2016, Date de fin: 31 août 2017 PROJET  TERMINÉ

Campus Redingenhof goes InternationalErasmus+ projects offer our students the unique opportunity to do an internship abroad, despite their social background. Campus Redingenhof has a large number of so-called indicator students (37%). Thanks to this programme, underprivileged students who otherwise wouldn’t be able to do a traineeship abroad get the chance to gain unforgettable and enriching experiences. With this project we want to achieve two goals. Students will gain a number of skills concerning language competence, flexibility, tolerance towards various cultures (values and standards) and new working and living situations. Also on a personal level they will grow enormously, becoming more conscious and independent in both their private and professional life. Moreover, internship supervisors will be confronted with different visions and working methods too. They will also be immersed in an unknown language and culture. That will serve as a huge asset, being able to pass on this expertise to their future students. The students will daily update a Facebook profile, sharing their internship experiences and extra-curricular activities. In addition our school's frequently visited website will regularly pay attention to this foreign internship, sharing the unparalleled experience with a wider audience. Furthermore these personal experiences will be managed and dealt with in an illustrated and up-to-date blog. This raw material will later on be processed and will serve as a starting point for presentations.A group of students of our tourism course will be spread over two countries, namely Germany (Cologne) and Turkey (Marmaris). They will do a two-weeks internship in various aspects of the hotel industry. During the weekend they will be introduced to the local culture by means of varied excursions (musical, museum visit, etc.).Students of our child welfare course will be visiting Finland for two weeks to put their theoretical knowledge into practice in a day care. Finland’s core interests are language, health, nature and outdoor living. The latter is still insufficiently present in our current child care system. The introduction to this Finnish concept will therefore result in our students acknowledging and enlarging the urge to explore innovative games.
