This is a private school which objective is to allowed school children to learn Occitan an French in the respect of this two languages. The Occitan that they learn is the one from the area of Pézenas and is agreed by the French national and official education. The pedagogical methods have the purpose to give the children autonomy by some active methods with at the same time some keys to live and work together. The mix between linguistic and pedagogical aspects is the particularity of this school. The European side is the main reason for their proposal to welcome a volunteer. 55 children are in this school and the relationship with this stranger” will be certainly very positive and will open their eyes on Europe and intercultural aspects. The volunteer will have to propose some activities linked with their country and this will permit to learn more on this project. This school teaches Occitan to the children but also makes a big work of sensibility to other European languages as English and Spanish. The volunteer will be with his language but also with his culture and he will teach these parts of his life like songs, games… He will be as a teacher in the pedagogical team. That’s will allowed him a good integration and his work will be valorised. The activities will be : - Help to the teachers - Help and leisure around the meal time (before, during and after the meal and during the afternoon map. - Help during outside activities - Teaching during specific and/or linguistic activities The volunteer will also have the opportunity to organise his own activity as sport, culture… The project takes place11 months, from 20 August 2014 to 20 July 2015. The period of project activity starts September 1, 2014 and ends on June 30, 2015.
