Building the United States of Europe: Democracy, Security and Diversity for the New Generation of EU Citizens, Together4Europe, (GO4EU) is dedicated to BA, MA, PhD. students (Majors: International Relations and European Studies, Security Studies, History), professional groups, teachers, researchers, media and wishes to implement a more dynamic, modern, sustainable strategy for teaching EU studies in Romanian universities, by developing and diversifying the curriculum according to the new trends in European studies. The project addresses, also, foreign students and students who do not automatically come into contact with European studies. The project responds to the need for integrated training of students by combining the methods of formal and non-formal education and to the adaptation of national teaching standards to European ones in order to facilitate the transfer of know-how and good practices between partners. The project aims at creating national and international multidisciplinary networks to promote excellence in teaching and research in EU studies.The project fills the current need shaping within Romanian civil society for rebranding the EU citizenship, for increasing knowledge on EU-related issues, such as democracy, security and diversity, among the youth and enhancing awareness on EU citizens’ rights. The objectives of this project are to upgrade and diversify EU-related subjects from the official curriculum of the university, foster the engagement of young academics in teaching and research on European subjects, as well as to train professors to teach EU courses using means of formal and non-formal education ( such as 4 dynamic, modern courses and seminars on European studies , a PhotoVoice activity, transnational/trans-disciplinary network, an international conference and volume/academic year, a debate club, a pilot programme for students “The European youth today - Europe's leaders of tomorrow"(implemented durring the 2015-2018 academic years).
