Project Summary This project will take place in CEIP Salvador Manrique de Lara-Tafira Baja School, during the year 2015-2016 with about 270 students. It is a public school in the suburb of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria and will involve 19 faculty members, the entire teaching staff of the school. After evaluating what has been worked on so far, it will be understood what new methodology will be needed in order to improve the success rate of the students, including those with special educational needs.The following activities are proposed: 1st Learn new teaching strategies that will help students improve their academic outcomes and include them in the 2015-2016 Developmental Education Project.2nd Share experiences of monitoring and evaluating the learning acquired in centers that share two teachers per group / classes.3rd Create a project that encourages the modernization and internationalization of the institution, going to shadow at the John Donne School who has accepted a professor / to observe good practices during the first fortnight of July 4th 2015.The methodology used to conduct the project will be a cooperative one amongst the teachers including: planning, training and research group programming, learning situations aimed at the development and discussions on the practices observed.The results obtained in the program will be communicated via a blog on the school website, as well as through training workshops with the entire faculty before the planning of the Academic Year. Results and the experience will be shared on the Network of Innovators and Office of European programs blog: http://www3.gobiernodecanarias.org/medusa/ecoescuela/opeec. Long-term benefits of this project will be the professional development of and improving the quality of teaching, as well as improving communication skills. Making international contact and networking to develop a more multicultural view, both European and internationally may be achieved.
