The Rainbowhouse, the LGBTQI (lesbian, gay, bisexual,transgender, queer, intersex) organization of Brussels, seeks to deepen its understanding of LGBTQI activism in Indonesia by sending one volunteer to participate in the projects carried out by PLU Satu Hati (People Like Us, One Heart), a community based organization working on human rights advocacy for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender (LGBT) in Yogyakarta. The main themes of this project are minorities and non-discrimination based on sexual orientation. The objectives are to develop solidarity and promote tolerance among youth and to create mutual understanding between young people in different countries. The service will last twelve months. This project will include a volunteer with fewer opportunities who is part of the LGBT community. The involved countries are Belgium and Indonesia. The implemented activities are internal organizational work, community service and networking. The methods applied are non-formal learning and participative work.
