Bring Active Citizenship in Youngsters Lives
Date du début: 1 mai 2013,

Bring Active Citizenship in Youngsters Lives is to be the third group EVS project initiated and developed by Euro House Bustuchin being a follow up of the past two EVS projects. The project will gather 12 volunteers from 8 different cultures, coming from Latin America, Africa and Europe. The positive impact in relation to the target group coupled with a strong learning experience in EVS project management and conflict management, determined EHB to continue the community development process launched in 2006. The volunteers are to be hosted in Gorj County, in 5 rural communities(Bustuchin, Albeni, Hurezani, Rosia de Amaradia and Carbunesti) for a period of 10 months, with the purpose to continue the process of increased active participation in local communities. The project aims to further develop and consolidate the initiatives launched by the Experiencing Active Citizenship in Rural Area I and II project (Group EVS projects, financed by the NA) in the direction of increasing active participation of local people in general and youngsters’ in particular to community activities that will focus on cultural diversity and awareness and sport activities by means of non formal educational tools. The project encourages the participation of youngsters with less opportunities as well as involve a large target group of youngsters confronted with major socio-economic issues. EHB turned its request of funding towards the EACEA following the increased cultural dimension given to the project by the volunteers coming from Latin America and Africa. The service is divided in two week capacity building programme and OAT followed by another 2 weeks of community exploring and cultural accommodation, continued with 9 months of actual community activities. The service will start and end for all volunteers at the same time.Among the working methods we mention:cultural and traditional art workshops, sport activities, environmental actions, lectures, presentations and seminars.
