Skopje is one of the most significant cities of Macedonia. It is not only a city of old traditions, but also a large centre of business and industry. It can also lay claim to be a city of young people with over 35,000 students studying at one of the seven universities here. EVS volunteers are always accommodated in the vicinity of the working place (transport covered), they are provided with private rooms, they are always placed within a local community, have local mentors assigned for extra support etc. EVS volunteers are going to have one meal within “Idnina” primary school; otherwise there are lots of small food shops with different kind of traditional food. Concerning local transport there are few bus lines which are connecting the central part of the city with the location of “Idnina” which is only 3 km distance from the central area, which means that even taxi is cheap and easy to be found. currently undergoing is the interesting cooperation with different primary schools and preschool education institutions as Special Primary School – “IDNINA” (Future) which is a special school providing pre-school and formal primary education programs and other informal education programs for children with special needs and disabilities. FRIK already has the necessary knowledge for working with marginalized groups, therefore the common field of interest of FRIK and “Idnina” is quite big. Our common vision is that social inclusion may be reached via culture and art. Hereby, FRIK experience and practical engagement in the field of art and culture in cooperation with “Idnina” professional experience with children with special needs as a strong basis for developing further cooperation by mixing professionalism and creativity. Its efforts concerning social inclusion, children rights, health education, public events, and dissemination of information are in conformity with FRIK efforts. The staff of the primary school (30 people) with different professional background keeps the organization running on a very high level. The role of the volunteer in frames of the special primary school would be nurses assistant and children’s friend and develop different strategies for inclusion of certain issues in FRIK Festival. During the lesson time volunteers would help slower performing children or assist nurses with school age children with their tasks. During the afterhours the volunteers would act as older friends spending time with them and watching after them assisting in festive activities, concerts, campaigns etc. Their personal creative ideas could be realized while creating the theater performances, producing various art exhibitions, sports competitions, and others. The organization is open to cooperate in good will. The environment in the special primary school is not stressful, the children are happy are eager to work with people from outside. It is about a very interesting and special school which provides re-socialization in a very successful way. The desired impact should provide longterm sustainability and open possibility for engagement of disabled youth in projects that work with art and culture. Re-examination of common values and using the art as a toll for improved quality of life since we are all humans after all and as diverse we are the colourful the life that we share could be. Raising awareness of the wide horizon of public spaces and their very important role to access to equal human rights. Creation of special groups of support for parents who have children who visit specialized institutions. Reading and the international and national law which concerns the rights of the institutionalized youth. FRIK Festival in direction of improved long term program which expect the festival program would entangle educational workshops and activities with children and youth who live in different kind of institution.
