Project background: This project application causes the first mobility of car mechatronic trainees and automobile businessmen trainees in the European, automobile-technical area. The Berufskolleg Geldern is a European school and had put up to now a main focus in the students' exchange in the business area which should be complemented now with an other main focus in the technical area. Project aims: We would like to attach as an educational staff contacts with the polytechnic educational institution Virgen del camino in Pamplona at intercultural and technical level to get to know educational plans and education aims in the host country. It is planned to initiate a more intensive cooperation. The intercultural competence of the participants should be promoted, while they stay in this subject known sphere in another culture and observe behaviour patterns and company expiries and document them. Number and profile of the participants: It concerns in schoolyear 2015-2016 four vocational training people who form a teacher team from one person competent linguistically and interculturally and three others technological competent persons. In schoolyear 2016-2017 it concerns 6 participant car mechatronic trainees who are at the end of the second / beginning of the third practical training year. They bring beside their technical basic education knowledge of the work routines typical in Germany in a mechanical workshop an openness for the exchange project. Two automobile businessmen trainees of the second practical training year in the business area own some technical basic knowledge and enthusiasm to themselves for the exchange project. Activities: The exchange project for 6 car mechatronic trainees and 2 automobile businessmen trainees should raise their mobility while they finish in the host country outgoing known professional actions. They will stay about a 2-week training period in the vehicle companies named by polytechnic educational institution Virgen del camino in Pamplona . The vocational training staff visits the host educational institution for one week, will solve participants' problems and gets to know the training period companies. Procedures for project realisation: After an intensive linguistic, intercultural and organizational preparation regular and intensive telephone and Internet-based communication forms via email and video conference will take place for the vote of the project aims between the contact of the sending ones and the taking up educational institution, as well as between the participants and the contact partners of the sending equipment. The contact partners of the taking up equipment hold consultation with the contacts of the taking up vehicle companies. aimed results and effects: The maturity and mobility of the participants should become promotes. The school profile of the Berufskolleg Geldern should be weighed out by this exchange project in the technical-vocational area and be strengthened. The international reputation of the Berufskolleg Geldern may grow by this exchange project. long-term use: Within the first exchange project a cooperation is aimed, so that further modularized exchange projects can develop. A transference of the project idea on other professional guilds is aimed. The students of the Berufskolleg Geldern are well prepared for a European-international professional life and attain a cosmopolitan position.
