Our organisation has always wanted to protect nature and the environment with an emphasis on increasing public awareness about biodiversity, species and habitat endangerment. The involvement of interested individuals in the work of our association will increase our reach towards other possible volunteers. The objectives of our project:- improvement and promotion of non-formal learning and cooperation with other civil organisations- increasing capacities in the field of nature conservation of Associação Social Recreativa Juventude de Vila Fonche/Juventude, our project partner- improving the level key competences and skills of the volunteer - contribution to development of non-profit projects and active participation of young people in volunteering activities and connecting with other individuals in the local communityOn order to reach the objectives, the project will use the approach of non-formal learning and apply modern, interactive methods oriented towards increasing volunteer`s sense of independence and self-initiative. We will use following methods: teamwork, getting acquainted with the methodology in nature conservation, European policy work in the field of nature conservation, usage of communication tools, people management methods, methods of presentation, creative thinking, methods of mapping in GIS, data analysis and flora and fauna research. The implementation of this project is expected to raise capacities in youth mobility projects in our organisation. We are hoping that the collaboration with our project partner will continue after the project is finished, working in development of non-formal learning and cooperation with other civil organisations in our countries. The project aims to raise the level of environmental awareness of the volunteer so he/she can continue with the same in his/her country of origin. The volunteer will gain vast experience in nature conservation, improve his/her communicational skills, get work experience and improve his/her teamwork skills, which will in the end make him/her more competitive in labor market in the field of nature conservation.
