Date du début: 1 août 2014, Date de fin: 31 mars 2015 PROJET  TERMINÉ

The "Bina Mira"-Project - "Bina Mira" means 'Stage of Peace' - came into existence in the year 2008. For more than 6 years now, the people behind "Bina Mira" have devoted themselves thoroughly to the idea of getting youth theatre groups from all over Europe together. These international meetings are meant to bring forth constant cooperation of young people from different European countries as a creative contribution to the necessary peace work after the Balkan Wars in the 1990ies. Every year, around the International Day of Peace in September, "Bina Mira" organizes youth encouters in different places, be it in former Yugoslavia, be it in Germany. In these youth encounters young people from the former Yugoslavian war zone meet young people from other European countries. By meeting each other, they all get the chance to widen their horizon and to discuss their future in Europe. Between 50 and 60 young people from Bosnia, Serbia, Germany, Belgium and Luxembourg participate in these international youth encounters. They all have two things in common: they love acting on stage and they are all eager to gain new experiences. Especially for those young people from fromer Yugoslavia, the "Bina MIra" youth encounters are a tremendous help. "Bina Mira" provides the necessary setting for an intercultural communication, which enables the paricipants from former Yugoslavia to gain more tolerance and to overcome ethnic, religious and cultural tensions. Thus, every day, the young actors from different Eurpoean countries are involved in drama workshops in which they experience intensive and fertile discussions of sometimes controversial points of view. The "Bina Mira" young people, however, do not only learn discussing controversial aspects. They also learn how to develop solutions by acting them out on the stage. Very experienced theatre teachers help them. They know how to trigger off those processes, which are crucial for a deep and ongoing development of those skills and competences, which are essential for communicating and interacting.
