Date du début: 21 juin 2016, Date de fin: 20 juin 2017 PROJET  TERMINÉ

La Purisima school was established in the early 1900´s by the Congregation of Carmelitas Misioneras Teresianas. It is situated in the city of Torrevieja (Alicante) which is in the south east of Spain. Because of its location, it has more than 140 nationalities of foreign languages which becomes more than 25% of our population census. Our school provides a double class per year: 6 classes in Preschool Education, 12 classes in Primary Education, 8 classes in Secondary Education and 4 classes in A Levels. The 2015 current school roll is 917 students. Since this is the only state subsidized school in our town, we cater a large number of foreign students and Spanish students who need to learn English as a second language, as it is so required in our cultural environment. Due to this cultural features, the studies in foreign languages, especially English, is necessary.According to our Linguistic Project, during this year some of the subjects of our curriculum are taught in English in Primary School. The same shall apply to Secondary School in the following years. Therefore, we need to continue training our teachers in CLIL (Content and Language Integrated Learning) methodology. The Erasmus + sholarship we could experience last year has shown us we can get very positive results in our students as well as in our teachers. So to attend training courses is helping to reach the aims of our Linguistic Project, improving our coexistence with the foreign community and strengthening our projects with foreign schools. For this project we have selected six participants. Three teachers of Primary and three Secondary school teachers. They are all qualified university teachers with a work experience range from five to fifteen years. These teachers will attend a two-week course abroad where they will learn to use a methodology based on CLIL.Our objective is that these six selected teachers continue to lead our trilingual project. Using the methodology learned in these courses gives us the opportunity to achieve great benefits for our students, our entire education community, as well as our multicultural city.
