The project entiled BASIL - Bieszczady Academy of Astronomy and Aviation will be implemented in the period VI-VIII.2016.The overall objective of the project is to deepen the knowledge of 60 young Poles and Ukrainians of astronomy and aviation throughparticipation in the international camp on this subject.The project will be attended by 60 people (with Polish 28 participants + 2 tutors / leaders from Ukraine: 28 participants + 2 tutors / leaders) - young people aged 15 to 20 years.Youth exchange will be preceded by a preparatory visit. The exchange will be organized in VII.2016 educational center in Przysietnica near Brzozów equipped in astronomical observatory. Bieszczady is one of the last places in Europe where there is pollution-free (artificial light) called the dark sky.During their stay diver activities will be held, among others: telescopic observations, practical workshops, demonstrations, classes of astrophotography, aviation simulation, meetings with interesting people . The project is based on the idea of non-formal education. The project combines independent search of knowledge, the knowledge passed down by their peers, but also contact with professionals / person professionally connected with astronomy and aviation.The project will bring many benefits to participants, including among others:- Acquisition of new knowledge, acquire new skills and competencies- The acquisition of skills to observe phenomena and draw conclusions- Increasing the foreign language skills, including technicla language - Inspiring ideas of others, stimulation of activity- Increasing motivation for further action- To compare their abilities with those of other- The opportunity to share their views and feelings- To work together and know each other in a spirit of tolerance and respect for other people and different cultures of- Strengthen the sense of belonging and awareness of common goals.The project will be for young people an important step towards a conscious future career path.The project will enhance the capacity of the organizations involved. The objectives respond to the needs of young people participating in the exchange. The project has international and intercultural dimension. The project corresponds with the objectives of the Erasmus + programme, in particular mobility projects.
