The project Better Start Coaching is a youth-mobility project, action K1 for youth workers from Erasmus+ Programme Countries and promoted by Tkalnia Rozwoju organization. This training course which will took place in Bielsko-Biała, Poland, lasted 6 days (7 including travel days) and had the aim of preparing youth-workers to become coach for youth. The broader context was set to become a coach for youth employability and vocational development integrating non-formal learning and coaching methods. The objectives of the project are: 1. Develop the coaching skills of youth -workers trough coaching and non-formal methods. 2. Improve the knowledge about the coaching process and provide KNOW-HOW in integrating it in non-formal education approaching ICF standards ( International Coaching Federation). 3. Create a space for cultural exchange and learning on youth coaching topic. 4. Create and test a new coaching method (photo-coaching) that can be used by youth workers as coach; 5. Create and maintain a constant European network of youth-workers as coach, as important resources for European youth projects. The training content was based on coaching tools and non-formal methods in order to help participants develop their know-how in using coaching in non-formal context. In order to assure the development of coaching skills, theory, practice and reflection was made in the working sessions. Just to give some examples, methods as: Wheel of life, SMART, Swot analysis, Open space, Human Library, Case studies, Pear learning, Role playing will be used. We had sessions of active listening, setting goals, asking questions, coaching tools, and reflection. The requested profile was to be youth-worker, have previous experience in working as trainer, facilitator, leader or project manager, and have strong motivation to become a coach for youth. Also, knowledge in psychology and human behavior was an important advantage. Participants from more Erasmus+ program countries were expected. We expect the project will have a real impact in improving youth workers knowledge about the coaching process, developing important coaching skills and transmit an attitude of acceptance and support. Also, the impact would happen at the practical level, as people shall feel empowered to use coaching in non-formal context with youth. As results, for dissemination we created motivational materials about what coaching is, what advantages it can bring, or what it is like to be a coach. Also, participants testimonials should have an impact on people in general in order to make them take part of the participant's experience. Moreover, we started working on a Handbook of coaching tools, and invited all participants to have a contribution in proposing and testing methods.
