Best practise at the beginning of life - the first steps in developing handicapped children (BESPRACHANDIC)

The main aim of the project is to enlarge the professional knowledge of kindergarten teachers and developers with new and efficient methods within the frame of an in-service training. Through these trainings disadvantaged children under their care will reach a higher quality development, their life quality will improve and their chances of integration will be increase. Through the project two methods aiming early child development are devised and adapted to the Romanian local needs. One is the Montessori pedagogy applied for the disadvantaged children; the other method aims to integrate and to develop the abilities of the autistic children in a majority community.General objective:Special education teachers, expansion of knowledge of professionals working with children with disabilities, to develop new therapeutic methods.Specific objectives:1. Transfer of best practise.2. Training for special education teachers, kindergarten teachers, social professionals.The direct beneficiaries of the project are those teachers (45), kindergarten teachers and their helpers who take part in trainings, teachers of children with special needs.Among the project results: 1 course prepared, 1 webpage developed, . 30 hours of training for kindergarten teachers and special education teachers.
