Besser qualifizierte Lehrerinnen und Lehrer für die Herausforderungen modernen, individualisierenden Unterrichts
Date du début: 1 juil. 2016, Date de fin: 30 juin 2018 PROJET  TERMINÉ

Better qualified teachers for the challenges of modern, invidualized teaching and learningBased on changes in our pupils - more and more students coming from a wider number of ethnic backgrounds, and a growing number of students - our school wants to qualify their personnel in the fields of foreign languages (English), the methodology of modern, communicative and cooperative (language) teaching and the inclusion of "difficult" learners. Over the period of two years we want to enroll six teachers for structured teacher training courses in Great Britain. In these two week courses teachers are expected to develop language competence, to refresh and expand their methodology , to learn more about underlying reasons for "difficult" student behaviour and learn to develop rapport and behaviour management and changing strategies. We chose the participants from different year group teams and sections within our school: head teachers, teachers parents council, team Welcome, team of language teachers. This is how we want to make sure results can be distributed and be useful in different fields in our school life. From the participants we expect a high level of motivation to pass on their knowledge and competence to our colleagues and teacher trainees. Their gained experience (knowledge, intercultural awareness, European exchange) will be useful for our whole body of staff, and we hope that in the future more teachers will be interested in and open for a training course within the Erasmus plus programme. Likewise, our students will profit from higher levels of their teachers' motivation, their language and methodical professionalism, their language competence, their intercultural experience, told stories and shown photographs in their lessons. Furthermore, better abilities to use the English language will lead to a more confident communication in English with non German speaking partners in the school context. We also expect an enormous impact on how our school is perceived outside the school, by parents and cooperating partners: a school whose staff is involved in continuous training is a convincing role model for their students.
