The proposed project "The learning and creative school" is intended to strengthen competences of the staff while developing and improving the organisation of education for students with special needs; it is also intended to promote the application of not only effective and innovative IT tools but also outdoor education strategies to motivate students towards effective and progressive studies. In addition, the project will help the participants to embrace the international experience which would be gained in the courses and by observating the work of other colleagues. During the estimated time of the project it is expected to have 18 school emplyees participating in the courses and work monitoring activities. At the end of the project it is expected that the students would receive the majority of the benefits because it involves the application of the newest educational methodology and strategies which would encourage and motivate students, make the studying process more modern and meeting the expectations of the students and their parents. It is also expected that the school would improve the skills of learning organisation to analize and elaborate its activity. Vinius Balsiai primary school has chosen partners from the United Kingdom, France and Sweden aiming to improve the currently established relations with these organisations, develop the former collaborations and exchange experiences. During the project it is expected, that the school and project's participants would thoroughly prepare for each stage, i.e. they will develop their language skills, become familiar with the educational system and culture of the countries participating in the project, perform the preliminary tasks, coordinate visits' programmes. The project will also employ such technologies as eTwinning, Facebook and other social media which would simplify the communication process. The results of the project are supposed to be published in the press and presented not only locally, i.e. for the school community, but also for the majority of schools in Vilnius and other cities of the country.
