Date du début: 1 août 2016, Date de fin: 30 juin 2017 PROJET  TERMINÉ

Human society largely depends on the ecosystem but has imparted a tremendous burden upon it. In the past 50 years, the global biodiversity has been badly degraded due to human activities. If we do not start to conserve the biodiversity and use natural resources in a more sustainable manner, the survival of human society may be at risk. Based on these recognitions, society "Bison" decided to implement a youth exchange project "Be green-help the nature" and with the European youth help to organize in Daugavpils biological diversity conservation activity, during which the participants of the project will contribute to bird species diversity maintenance in city's area. In project will participate 18-30-year-old youngsters from Latvia, Greece, Poland and Portugal- different life backgrounds representatives: young people from rural areas, young people from low-income and large families and youth with communication and educational difficulties. By involving youth from different life situations in the exchange "Be green-help the nature" society "Bison" wants to achieve the folowing aim: to promote the European young people's active citizenship with a socially significant activity.Youth exchange "Be green-help the nature" will take place in Daugavpils, from 15.04 to 24.04.2017. The exchange programme are based on non-formal education where as the working methods will be used workshops, teambuilding, presentations, discussions, study visit etc.During the exchange with the European youth hands will be prepared different bird houses and as a result of their work in Daugavpils will be established bird hotel, where each bird species which inhabit the city will be able to find home suitable for her physical and behavioral habits. Thus exchange participants will show society that helping to preserve the city's biodiversity is a task that it is of power to almost everyone. Organisation "Bison" believes that participation in the project will leave a positive impact on participants and their live. They will become more sensitive to other cultures, more aware of Europe events, and more involved in community activities than prior to their participation.
