The project targets the increase of the cross border tourism amenity in the field of area\'s cultural values, traditions, customs, handicrafts and other material or spiritual values through interactive promotion, the execution and modernisation of specific tourism infrastructure, based on the implementation of the traditional village living museum concept, including the efficient use of specialized external services for its proper operation and promotion. In order to reach this goal, the project focuses on the building of 4 cross- border area traditional households within Banat Village Museum Timisoara (functional replicas - Banat, Hungarian, German and Serbian - with integrated facilities) to re-create the Banat specific multicultural community environment, set up and operate a cross - border multifunctional information and promotion centre within the Theresia Bastion Architectural Complex from Timisoara; 7 traditional households and 1 eclectic style heritage hotel from Csongrad Historic Inner Town will be refurbished in order to reiterate the interactive traditional village / house concept. The general objective of the project is strengthening the economic and social cohesion In the Romanian - Hungarian cross - border area by joint development and promotion of tourism Target groups: Direct beneficiaries of the project are: project partners (3), project staff (18), citizens of the partner cities (335346), citizens of the partner counties (1083338), tourists (in general) and especially tourists in cross border area interested by heritage values (1520); managers of the village museums and historical centres in the cross border area that can use the model realized in the project, to be adapted or/and improved (25%).The target groups are children and students, people in the cross border area, as potential visitors of living museum, multifunctional centre for tourism information and promotion, tourists in general and especially niche tourists. The main specific activities of the project are: 1. Cross - border Tourism Infrastructure execution / rehabilitation. This activity package is related to the 3 proposed cross border tourism infrastructure components execution and content - related equipment reception and operation namely: works execution of the 4 traditional houses and facilities alongside their content related equipment reception and operation at the level of PP2, rehabilitation of the 7 traditional handicrafts houses in Csongrad Inner Town and Erzsebet Hotel renovation alongside specific equipment reception and operation at the level of PP1, execution of the interior design works for the Cross - border Multifunctional Tourism Information Centre within Theresia Bastion Complex Timisoara alongside content related equipment and cross - border tourism promotion IT platform reception and operation, at the level of LP 2. Joint operation of the new created cross - border facilities: the operation of the planned functions; proper exploitation of the tourism infrastructure created or rehabilitated within the project; efficient structuring of the facilities and services provided to the project target groups; know - how transfer and cross - border best practices exchanges through joint events organization. Expected Results: Main results: 7 traditional handicrafts houses in Csongrad Inner Town rehabilitated; 4 traditional houses built in the Banat Village Museum; Erzsebet Hotel refurbished; Cross - border Multifunctional Tourism Information Centre within Theresia Bastion Complex Timisoara; opening and closing conferences, Gastronomic event in Csongrad and Banat Village Museum.
