Shipment of goods in the BSR increases and will grow in the future even faster. The concept of Baltic Sea Motorways along transnational transport corridors will be based on strong cooperations between players in the transportation field as well as on industry side. Improvement of productivity and competitiveness needs the development both physical and information infrastructure. The first being addressed by the work-package (WP) 3 “Maritime Transport Corridor Development” with special focus on the implication towards information and telecommunication technologies (ICT). Those are content of the other WPs of BaSIM in particular concerning “Standardized ICT Architecture” (WP1), “Supply Chain Security” (WP2) and “Supporting information services” (WP4).The WPs are cross-linked to each other while building the framework for the establishment of new Baltic Sea Motorways as well as the improvement of already working corridors integrating the new EU-memberstates and thereby recommending strategic investments.Pilot implementations of BaSIM-solutions in terms of limited security and service applications will be mirrored by best-practice approaches concerning ICT architecture and maritime transport corridor development.hnikzentrum Lübeck / TraDaV Travemünder Datenverbund. Achievements: The project is divided into four integrated WPs with the following achievements so far:Standardised ICT architecture: report on user requirements; ICT capability evaluation report; user documentations of the solution; draft reports of the new BaSIM interoperability architecture and two implementation casesSupply chain security: Overview of new regulations and existing systems; Best Practice Handbook and a first part of the Best Practice Fine Concept on telematic solutions improving security and safety by telematic integration and support as well as definitions on the demonstrators. Final implementations on three different demonstrators (alarm management, hinterland chain security and e-learning). Final documentations and Final Report.Maritime Transport Corridor Development: Report on Best Practice innovative freight transport corridor concepts; report on Feasibility of Maritime Corridor Concepts incl. Spatial planning impact, final version of the “Evaluation Handbook for Sea Transport Corridors (Motorways of the Sea)” and enlargement of the Measure HandbookSupporting information services: Documented conception of the business profile specification (in UN/CEFACT standards) used for BSR business partner identification and e-business collaboration; documented conception of standard e-business document patterns and e-catalogue of products, services and companies; report on possibilities of implementation of e-business collaboration platform; implementation or adoption of e-business collaboration in selected BSR companies using UN/CEFACT or EAN.UCC e-business collaboration standards.
