BADGE ALERT: Badge Powered Recognition in Youth Exchanges
Date du début: 1 juin 2015, Date de fin: 31 déc. 2015 PROJET  TERMINÉ

This training project promotes and implements the innovative solution - Open digital badges for the recognition of non-formal learning in European youth work. Most partners of this project were the first youth work organisations in Europe to adopt badges for youth work programmes. This project involved 30 participants (including organisers) who were youth workers with experience in youth exchanges, from 9 European countries. The main objective of this project is to offer training opportunities to learn how to use Open digital badges for the Youthpass recognition during youth exchanges and other youth work programmes. This project enabled participants to exchange their experiences and create new partnerships for future (youth) projects. Project partners implemented the international training course in November 2015 in Lithuania. 7 days long training programme included various activities: group dynamic activities, intercultural learning activities, thematic workshops, presentations and inputs, group work and team work, sessions to design badge systems, reflection and evaluation activities. This project is based on the principles and values of non-formal education and European standard for quality in youth work training activities. The innovative methodology of using Open digital badges supported the implementation of Youthpass process in this project. This training project developed participants competences in the areas of project objectives and activities; contributed to the better Youthpass recognition by using Open digital badges during youth exchanges and other youth work programms; created badge systems which can be applied in the future youth exchange projects and other youth work programmes. This project brought benefits to participating youth workers, partner organisations and their communities. In long term perspective this project benefits the young people who will participate in future youth exchanges and other youth work programmes. At European level this project promotes and improves current recognition tools and systems applied in European youth work.
