B-Innovative - Entrepreneurship for Better Business in Europe
Date du début: 1 oct. 2011,

In this world of downsizing, restructuring and technological change, traditional careers have been challenged. People are depending more upon their own initiative to realize success. This situation underpins our proposed project which aims to encourage people to take the decision to ‘start their own business’. Usually entrepreneurship is not part of the curriculum in higher education institutions (HEIs). Young entrepreneurs (such as undergraduate students) have been identified as contributors for the reduction of unemployment. However, they face multiple barriers such as poor access to comprehensive support packages* . The project is based around the background IPR of the ‘‘Basics of Building a Business Lectures’ series developed and delivered at the University of Bedfordshire, United Kingdom. The lectures have been running since 2005 with over a thousand participants from student groups and the local community. The original content and format of the B3 Lectures will be re-developed for a European audience and linked to a Business Concept and Business Plan Competition. The programme will be delivered over three years by successful business people in five European countries guiding participants through the essential stages of starting and growing a business. Project outputs:• 630 + participants enrolled • a European-accredited entrepreneurship programme • a programme DVD in several European languages with voiceover/subtitles in English and supplementary learning materials.European Added Value:o More young entrepreneurs starting a business or considering business opportunities in Europe o More entrepreneurs benefiting from national and European connections made during the programme o Improved employability (through a European qualification) for those participants unable to start a business o Direct knowledge transferacross countries by cross fertilisation of innovative approaches o Programme mainstreaming in other European countries
