Date du début: 1 juin 2016, Date de fin: 31 oct. 2017 PROJET  TERMINÉ

Pesterzsébeti Secondary School of Economics considers its most important task to adjust its educational and welfare work to the expectation of the new information based society and to develop its teachers’ ICT competencies. The way of acquiring information has completely changed the school of the 21st century. The youth are now an online population. The paper based, theoretical knowledge acquisition does not attract our students any more, therefore learning activities should be reoriented and reformulated from the manual source to the open source ones, the emphasis should be put on practical approach, experimental and cooperative methods. In this new kind of knowledge acquisition the technological achievements (especially the Internet), the visual world broadcast by ICT technics play a significant role. In this respect there is a huge difference between teachers and students: the internet, smart phones represent a fundamental part of our students’ lives while teachers tend to insist on the old-fashioned and paper-based teaching methods. As technology becomes more and more embedded in our culture, we must provide our students with relevant and contemporary experiences that allow them to successfully engage with technology and prepare them for life after school. Our aim is to enhance the efficiency of teaching by applying the newest ICT technology, making it the integral part of our teaching work.We are sure that our students will be motivated and purposefully engaged in the learning process as a result of using the newest tools of technology. The Portuguese partner, AlmadaForma is an in-service teachers training public institution. It has organized training courses for teachers in ICT for years. In their 5-7 day-long courses they show how teachers can support the teaching and learning process by integrating the ICT tools into the general educational activities. The Italian partner is a secondary school like ours, working in similar circumstances. They have worked out their own teaching methods and materials in the field of ICT. They will not only share their own developed ICT methodology with the participants of the project but also will give them an opportunity to try and practice it.Hopefully, we will be able to integrate the newly acquired methods into our methodology taking into account our local circumstances.Eight teachers of our school will participate in this project in case of a successful application. They will be expected to disseminate their knowledge received abroad in the all staff. Objectives of the project:• change in the attitude of educational work• acquiring new technics, methods and their usage• diminishing the technical gap between the teachers and students• integrating the ICT tools into our educational activities• development of our teachers’ foreign language competencies• getting able to find new teaching methods in foreign languages (English mainly)• preparing our students’ journey to the target countries• getting to know the culture of the target countriesMilestones of the project 2015December Formation of the project team2016January Contact the partner institute, programme coordination, agreement in cooperation with partnersJune Dividing the tasks among the team membersJuly Clarification of the tasks, organizing the journey, taking out the insuranceAugust-September 2 persons participate in the first course in PortugalSeptember-October Making the financial and content report of the first course and dissemination2017February-March 1 person participates in the second course in Portugal, making the content and financial report March Job-shadowing at the Italian partner school for 2 personsApril 1 person participates in the third course in Portugal, making the content and financial report of the work at the Italian school and in PortugalAugust-September 3 persons participate in the fourth course in Portugal, making the content and financial report October Closing the project, constant dissemination, evaluationThe expected results of the project:• the participants are able to apply the ICT tools effectively in classes• the teaching methods will be moved from the old, paper-based approach to the experimental, joyful ones• the principle of life-long learning will be implemented• the digital tools will be integrated in the teaching work and the digital gap between the teachers and the students will decrease• the school will be able to eliminate the negative impact of ICT
