Award of Garden Merits
Date du début: 1 févr. 2016, Date de fin: 31 janv. 2017 PROJET  TERMINÉ

The 'Award of Garden Merit', which is this years project title is given to a plant which has proven very well in many areas and has undergone strcit tests. Remembering this we want the very best training for our trainees and staff. This is why we as the Umbrella Organization for Landscape Gardening in North Rhine-Westphalia we see ourselfs compelled to provide our members with all possible instruments to establish and maintain high quality education. ERASMUS+ is a brillaint tool to send Learners and Trainers to receive practical and technical training in a foreign country. The goal is to send trainees for work experience to British Gardens which have influenced Garden Design historically and continue to do so. Such knowledge is relevant for the vocational education as well as on the labour market. That is why we also aim to train our trainers in this field to give them an edge over their competion.Additionaly a work experience abroad always strengenths the personal and intercultural skills of the participant. It also raises their mobility. It helps to grow together in Europe and will counter the lack of skilled personell through offering atractive and high quality vocational training. The trainees will travel in two flows consiting of 8 members each to South-West England where our partner CMS Devon Ltd has already sorted the work placement and accommodation. Two experienced ladies, who are our members also, will accompany one for each flow to safeguard any minors in each group. CMS Devon Ltd will deploy our interns to work with Mt Edgecombe. CMS Devon Ltd is responsible for organizing the flows and looking after the participants during their stay - this includes flights, accomodation, transport, insurance, board and leisure time offers. This is the same for our training personell, in addition CMS Devon Ltd will provide planing and execution of the training curriculum including historical and current gardens and institutions as well as a practical day to reinforce what has been learnd. In Norther Ireland our host organisation represented by Ms Koschemann will personally look after our remaining 12 trainees who will work in one of the Top Ten gardens in th world; Mt Stewart of the National Trust.Being a hugh umbrella organisation this will enable us to infuse that knowledge and those skills back into our vocational schools and our companies. This will ensure them an advantage over their competitors. On top of that it brings added value to all participants through strengthening their personality and their practical skills and proffesional knowledge. We promote that every trainee should spent time abroad during their training period because it does open up new hoizons and gives new perspektives in work and private life.Having said this; it is our goal to send out more trainees and trainers each year to educate both groups and thus continue to offer relevant and highly qualfied vocatinal training in order to win more young people for this profession.
