PROJET
TERMINÉ
‘First Steps on the Way to be a European School Project’ consists of a range theoretical training courses and practical case studies .The present project is aimed at to target students, teachers, schools and individuals related to the education systems but mainly students aged between 9-14.Both target groups are related to the education and it aims at how to lead a way to strengthen our school’s international education program using ICT to enhance learning by exploring new environments. The project is based on three stages. The first consists of teaching English methodology engaging learners with a wide variety of resources and techniques, rather than merely following a course book. For many schools in Turkey and other parts of Europe, English is the most widely studied foreign language. Therefore, we plan to integrate new alternative approaches of learning English into our education system for our students, for whom foreign language learning is a key to success .The project has enrolled 18 teachers in our school. This stage includes 10 English Language Teachers who have been in an effort to increase the capacity of English teaching of the school and the training course will be held in England. The second stage involves the school leadership and communication in education and will be held in Netherlands with the number 5 teachers. In this respect, our staffs need to develop soft skills; to foster their motivation to work with students and to have intercultural competence through an effective communication in a European teaching and learning environment. And our third stage, with flow of 5 participants, focuses on the continuously developing and evolving teaching and learning processes under the name ‘New Learning Environments and what kinds of school we should build in a future?’ and will be held in Finland. We think that teachers are as cornerstones of the society, having always contributed to the general development of the society and welfare. By the help of this training our participants will address the Future Learning in Finland which includes how to create learning environments that are flexible, modifiable and sustainable and aims to make participants rethink about what kind of learning environments we should build now because equipment and rooms are changing fast and what kind of school is the best motivating our children to learn better. By the aim of setting up to develop a European School, these three stages both subsequently strengthen the international dimension of the curriculum and implement the course output using cross-cultural approach and broaden of teachers’ knowledge and skills such as learning new methodologies or gaining proficiency in areas of IT.
