Harbors of European Cultures project is going to be implemented in Elazýð / Turkey. Its activity is going to be between 24-30/10/2009 by Fýrat Gençlik Grubu. The Partner Organisations are Puente Cultural from Spain, Group VIMS from Lithuania, Associaçao de Amizade Luso Turca from Portugal and Dialogus Platform Egyesulet from Hungary . Totaly 28 participants will join including participants,support staff and experts. This project will be carried out by using Non-Formal Education techniques. It will be Training Course for 6 days. The project language will be English. The participants will be trained and informed on Cultural diversity and dialogue by using these techniques. In this project our first aims are; to search the reasons that cause the prejudices and trying to find solutions which help the problem finish, to create friendship among the participants and also to show the beauties of cultural diversity. For people knowing to each other other cultures are fundamental need to break projudices. So this project will help to leave the prejudices especially among the young. We anticipate that, although young people live in different parts of Europe, they will realize that they are coming from the same root and have many similarities. We hope,this project will be first step for building intercultural dialogue at least for some of us.
