AUTO LEARNING MOBILITY

The participants in this programme are students from the vocational high school Henri Fertet in Gray located in the Franche-Comté region (North East of France).They are preparing a professional baccalaureate in the fields of car mechanics and body repairing.Regarding their skills in English,these students should reach the B1+ level of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages by the end of their course.Information about the number of students involved is as follows:10 students from motor vehicle maintenance and body repairing coursesThe mobility period will start on November 6, 2016 and end on December 3, 2016. The students will be accommodated in local families to provide more opportunities of immersion into the English language and culture. When at work they will reinforce their technical skills through tasks closely linked to their respective fields , discover other ways of working and improve their linguistic skills. They will be placed in pairs in the garages as well as in the host families in order to create an environment in which they will feel more comfortable and then interact more efficiently in English .Weekends will be dedicated to cultural visits relating to the automotive sector or not.Accompanying teachers will be present for 4 weeks as they will take turns mentoring and supporting the students with the help of the local ISP staff.This mobility experience will be validated at various levels as the participants will get:-the Europass Mobility-the Europro certificate and the EuroMobipro issued by the lycée - the validation of professional and interpersonal skills through an official certification grid - the completion of the European section oral test allowing them to obtain the grade « European section in English »on their high school diploma.- positive comments about their workplacement will be reported on their school report cards to increase their chances to undertake further study.Project and participants monitoring will be available on the Lycée Fertet web site at the following address http://www.lp-fertet.com, section “Section Européenne” or on Twitter at https://twitter.com/lyceefertet70
