A1 Dates: 1.9.16-30.7.17 CO and SO Grenzenlos Austria , HO Surf rider foundation MarocMethods: Non formal learning and environmental paedagogic, open youth work The "Austria calls Morroco" project will take part in a Moroccan NGO based in Agadir. In the context of the COP22 (Conference of Parties) that will take place in Morocco in November 2016, main objective of our activities is to sensibilize the population to nature protection and environment care, such as climat changes and role of the ocean as a natural regulator. The "eco-volunteer coastal" project Surfrider Foundation Morocco aims to host European volunteers to give them the opportunity to discover an association and its operation. The goal is to integrate a dynamic team and participate in activities of the association related to the protection of the coastal environment in Morocco. This project promotes youth openness and provides solid base on topical environmental concepts (waste, climate change).The volunteer will take part in all current and future activities in SFM to protect, preserve and manage the Moroccan coast. This will mainly 4 events:- Surfrider Campus Tour 22. This is a régional and national educational tour on the theme of climate change with poor children, rural associations and women around the participation in COP 22 in Marrakech to bring "the way of the ocean "- Project" Taghazout Zero waste "(infrastructure development for the waste management in a coastal village and awareness / local authorities)- Program" blue school "(school outreach and development of educational tools )- Summer Project "j'aime ma plage" (recruitment, training and monitoring of a team of young Moroccans responsible for beach loaded awareness and maintenance during the 2 summer months).They allow volunteers to develop a multitude of skills. The objective is above all to be able to involve all facets of activities:- Organization / editing and monitoring projet- Teamwork / Autonomy / Taking initiatives- Communication and mobilization techniques (workshops and awareness)- Management of volunteers at events (initiatives océanes)- Discovery of another culture and a new language (Moroccan Arabic) from the general point of view the goals will be on solidarity, citizenship and sustainable development.Volunteers also bring their experience to the association. They will be complementary to the work of employees. They will play a role renewal, additional support and innovation.The benefits for such a project are numerous and could benefit all participants: creating links between young people from both countries, cultural exchange, openness, discovery of the other, oral communication skills, self-confidence , learning about the environment, linguistic discovery, knowledge transmission, teamwork, sharing human experience, adaptability, citizenship values, encouraging volunteering, confrontation to field realities, etc ...This project is coordinated by Grenzenlos Intercultural Exchanges Austria within it´s EVS program where special support for volunteers is given.
