This project is implemented in several projects of cooperation with the intention to built a permanent partnership between Diakonie-Klinikum Stuttgart and Villa Betania Neapel. With this existent project, Diakonie-Klinikum Stuttgart offers pupils which graduate their nursery-education in the Diakonie-Klinikum´s own nursery-school Evangelisches Bildungszentrum für Gesundheitsberufe (EBZ) the possibility to spend their practical knowledge in Villa Betania in Napoli. In addition to the medical expertise the pupils can also gain the possibility to learn something about a foreign health care system and a different culture for their personal advancement. The first intership should be between 14.09.2015 and 11.10.2015, including the journey. A second intership is contemplated in autumn of 2016. There are two pupils which can take part at the project, requirement is, that the pupils have absolved one year of their education and already have Italian language skills or going to have language skills when they stay abroad in Italy. The first internship is at least temporarily, be accompanied by a practice coordinator of the hospital to ensure a successful process and the desired subject content / results. An internship abroad for students will be offered annually. The main application in Villa Betania should be neonatology, so the treatment of premature infants - including the appropriate intensive therapy. The Internship will be evaluated in the context of the existing learning success of the EBZ. In addition to the experiences and impressions gain admission into the education at the EBZ, for example, via a review. At least after the first internship a joint report by the trainees and the accompanying practice coordinator is also provided in the hospital management. The dissemination of results should be done in different ways. Reports in the print media, the Internet, the intranet as well as on facebook to reach the general public Beside the possibility of reflection of the German health care system and the division of labor in German hospitals compared to Italian hospitals should be created with the project a permanent, stable relationship between Villa Betania and Diakonie-Klinikum Stuttgart. Both institutions hope this will be a positive impact on their development.
