Auf dem Weg zur Ganztagsschule - Wir lernen von Europa
Date du début: 1 juin 2015, Date de fin: 31 mai 2017 PROJET  TERMINÉ

The Dr.-Carl-Hermann School in Schönebeck is working out a new school programme giving particular effort to the development of a full-time school concept. This concept should be based on the experience of regional full-time schools as well as schools with full-time curricula in other countries of the European Union and result in an innovative full-time school concept. The aim of the project is to collect ideas for such a concept getting to know school routine in other full-time schools. Thus the participants in this project should gain knowledge and skills of what every day school life with all its challenges and particularities is like. In the course of the project the members of the school’s advisory committee, consisting of representatives of the foreign language, the social studies and the science departments and mandated with the redraft of the school programme, should collect ideas observing other school systems and analyse how they can be transferred to our school situation. Groups of six participants, headed by a representative of the school administration or the school’s advisory committee respectively, will visit two European schools with a full-time concept and collect information and ideas by means of “shadowing jobs“, accompanying pupils during their school day and rounds of talks with teachers of the visited schools. As the schools we want to visit are our twin schools we know that they have already been working successfully as full-time schools for a long time. Discussing proposals as well as working out the concept (and the school programme) should be completed within the next two years. Thus a feasible concept accepted and supported by the school community, can be submitted to the school’s general assembly. This school programme should be the basis of the work at our school for the following years and contribute to making our school an attractive and cosmopolitan place of learning and living together. It should be a place of cheerful and successful learning and teaching where the challenges of failure at school and changing school form are met effectively.
