Bibliodrama is an effective and modern type of cultural education designed to enhance the forming of cultural/religious identity and developing of skills in the area of religious judgement, individual lifestyle choices, and art work. Its principles include work in aesthetic media, transformation, and deceleration. Bibliodrama is therefore suitable for communication and education processes in linguistically and culturally diverse groups, because a lot of articulation, clarifying, communication happen in a non-verbal way.
The project "Towards to an European Bibliodrama School" aims to lay the foundations for the preparation and conduct, as of 2016, of an advance training called the European Bibliodrama School on performing Bibliodrama workshops for multilingual or multicultural groups.
To this end, some 20 trained German Bibliodrama instructors will gather their experiences of such Bibliodramaprocesses by job shadowing, teaching, advising or intervision, and reflect on these experiences by means of discussions, a learning diary, and final evaluations in the form of a communicative developed self-assessment combined with consequences for the planning and performing of such Bibliodramaprocesses.
This involves in particular the experience of the educational and social benefits of such cross-border events, a willingness to plan and to prove even such programs or to encourage adult education authorities for this.
The insight that linguistically or culturally mixed teaching teams are a good condition for such learning can the educational action repertoire bid for to the interest and the will to work in such teams.
Their expertise shall be circularized within the adult education community. The names of the course leaders who stand for the management of such processes, are published. The project participants were been involved in the preparation and implementation of European Bibliodrama School as consultants or teachers.
By this project an European network of course leaders and institutions occurs, that allows to develop such a transnational education program. This should enable also people from countries in which there are no Bibliodrama-education-courses, to learn directing Bibliodrama.
On a long–term basis, cross-border (transnational or transcultural) Bibliodrama workshops shall be offered, thereby creating a new educational format, aimed at new target groups, that will allow for Europe to be experienced as a transnational and cross-cultural living and educational environment.
The project is accompanied in terms of professional aspects by the Education Commission of the Gesellschaft für Bibliodrama, organized by a project manager and is primarily effective on the two European Bibliodrama networks that weave around the internet portals www.bibliodrama-ebn.eu and www.bibliodramatic.net and their activities as the yearly European Bibliodrama-Congress and its Bibliodrama-workshops lasting several days.
