(In the heart of Nations)Project of exchange 2016-2017 France/PortugalSummary of the project Since many years, the European Union proposes programs for favoring and promoting the exchanges between young people.The international mobility is too often the privilege of a population socially high or helped by their families. The young people from popular places accumulate numerous problems : resources, projects or perspectives, lack of networks, often associated to psychological and cultural brakes which can exclude them.The importance of the mobility and the international exchanges in a career is not to be any more demonstrated. The role of the Mission Locale is to favor the social and professional integration of the young people, we wishes to associate young people with this project, this adventure rich in discovery and in new experiences.The results for this public, weakened, often with a low level of studies, without real future, seem to us evident.We choose a public of the municipality of Vandoeuvre (54500 - France), the second city of the department, more than half population of which lives in ZUS (sensitive urban area) mainly in a district called "Nations". For Portugal, we choose young people of the municipality of Ponte de Lima, situated in the North of Portugal. The project combines a similar Portuguese partner than Mission Locale, the GIP (Gabinette d' Inserçao Profissional) and the respective committees of twinning.We wish to speak about the citizenship with young people. And we wish to give a cultural and sports dimension to this project for and with young people of two countries of Europe where are Portugal and France. The exchanges between the young people of these countries are going to help to : - Discover and work other languages. - Confront with different cultures by in the sports practice.- Discover the mutual institutions and the respective sectors of employment. - And finally, live to the everyday life during a dozen days a human experience (travel, accommodation, meals, walks, sports tournaments) : Rich and intense ! The idea of the exchange consists in welcoming alternately young people of every country. The Portuguese young people welcome the French young people. French welcome Portuguese. These 2 exchanges will take place over a maximal period of 14 months, from the half-year 2016. The Portugues welcomes the French people in autumn 2016, and the French welcomes the Portugues people in spring 2017.Objectives of the project : - Live the experience of the intercultural exchange between 20 young people stemming from these 2 countries. (10 young people by country)- Be accompanied in own steps of social and professional integration or orientation.- Help the young people to be sensitive to other cultures.- Favor the exchanges on the socioeconomic situations of the two countries.- Develop language skills.- Organize together sportive events.- Live in community (rhythms of life, rules, meal …)- Discover the culture of others by the food (preparation of the meals in common alternately, purchases, recipes)- Apply advice of lifestyle by the sports activities, the food or the sleep.- Be open to others. Chosen publics : “French side” - Age : between 18 and 25 years.- Live mainly in the district "Nations" in Vandoeuvre.- Have the Social Security.- Possess an ID card or a residence permit of current validity.- Be ready to live an experience of exchange and international mobility.- Be in initiative of occupational integration and be accompanied by the Mission Locale.“Portuguese side”- Age : between 18 and 25 years.- Live mainly in the sector of Ponte de Lima.- Have the Social Security.- Possess an ID card or a residence permit of current validity.- Be ready to live an experience of exchange and international mobility.- Be in initiative of occupational integration and be accompanied by the GIP.In every country the situations of the young people and their profiles will have to be similar.A balance men/women will be looked for as much as possible in 2 groups.
