The aim of the ATTOL project is to provide technical distance training, combining theory and practice, in three different areas: programmable logic controllers, hydraulics and electrical accreditation. The overall objective is to set up a system to allow students remotely located from technical facilities to learn how to operate them and see for themselves the result of their actions, which can help acquire genuine operational skills.The system will be tested and disseminated by a network of European training bodies.The results of the project will have a multiplier effect through the development of a training scheme for distance learning technical instructors and a technical advice guide.The target group consists mainly of employees and jobseekers, and hence businesses too, in particular SMEs, as well as instructors and training institutes.
