Backa Topola and Kelebija started their cooperation 5 years ago, and in 2009 Kelebija and Bajsa, one of the settlements of Backa Topola municipality, signed a memorandum of understanding, which defines strengthening, expanding and strategic development of parnership relations through: sport tournaments, cultural exchange, cooperation between the institutions, exchange of youth programs and joint participation at national and international calls for proposals. For that reason, for example in Kelebia, the bike path starts from the train station where international trains stop, such as the Budapest-Belgrade railway line. The maps and booklets enable and promote safe and environmentally friendly travel between the two countries. As a result of this 17 month-long cooperation, accessibility of major urban centres has significantly impro
