Date du début: 2 mai 2016, Date de fin: 1 août 2017 PROJET  TERMINÉ

Since 2002 the Association of Indigenous Peoples of the North of the Khabarovsk region operates the youth center "Phoenix of Amur", the objectives of which are the union of indigenous youth, education legal issues, involvement in problem-solving and active participation in socio-economic and cultural development of the Indigenous Peoples. Its target group is represented mainly by Indigenous students from country side of the Khabarovsk region. Therefore they know that there is a gap in education between urban youth and from rural area. Further more the rural youth is suffered by a little social involvement and does not demostrate a social activity in comparison with the youngsters from the cities. Another aspect when the Indigenous youth come to the cities during adoptation to urban life style they would face different problems like drug and alcohol abuses and et cetera. Therefore their motivation is to find out and use the best practicies in the youth work which is focused in increasing the social activity amoung the younsters. They hope it helps them to establish new ways for development a democratic citizenship in the Indigenous communities. The EVS long term project is aimed to host in Khabarovsk, Russia 2 volunteers from France. There will be 12 months or 365 days. The project aim: The social youth inclusion through international dialogue and mutual work between youngsters from France and Russia. The project objectives: 1. To introduce EVS volunteers with the local environment, culture and people 2. To establish a good mutual understanding and cooperation between French volunteers and Indigenous youth. 3. To get their feedback which will be used to improve mutual work of both sides.4. To provide necessary stuff for carring out their own projects in terms of mutual work.5. To outline and analize the quality of their completed projects.6. To share and use the experience and the best practices for prospective EVS projects among concerned institutions and persons. In line with European Union strategies, the goal of bringing young people with fewer opportunities,, backgrounds and cultural groups together in a EVS project is to empower youth to participate in their society. In order to reach this goal, the EVS project will focus on achieving the following tasks:1. By the end of EVS project, increase young people’s knowledge and understanding of other cultures.2. By the end of EVS project,, increase the number of young people who report having acquired new skills.3. By the end of EVS project,, increase young people’s motivation and capacity to seek out opportunities in their community.4. Within 12 months of the program, increase the number of participating youth who are involved in voluntary activity.5. By the end of EVS project,, increase young people’s capacity to address social issues through volunteer's project. The promoters are expecting that during the EVS project French volunteers will use the program’s pedagogical methodology for Indigenous youth. For instance a non-formal learning, participatory based approach, where the youth are seen as equal partners in the program and will be asked to share their ideas and knowledge, to make decisions, and be given influence over the program’s direction. French volunteers could assigne Indigenous youth into groups. It is in these teams that participants will be instructed to design a community program that uses voluntary activites to address social issues in their community, such as violence and racism. Learning to design a community program will include: identifying a community problem of interest, planning a community assessment to understand the root cause, the environmental influences, and cultural implications; planning a stakeholder analysis and designing interview guides. Again, participants will learn these skills and knowledge through interactive non-formal learning techniques such as debates and group work. The purpose of teaching youth to design a community program is so youth participants can get new, concrete skills that improve their employability and motivate them to get involved in society.
