Assessment and recognition of non-formal and informal learning in the EU
Date du début: 1 sept. 2015, Date de fin: 31 août 2018 PROJET  TERMINÉ

Through this proposal we intend to conduct an integrated package of activities in order to increase the level of awareness and the use of the possibilities which are promoted by the EU regarding the evaluation and validation of non-formal and informal learning for university graduates in the field of social sciences, with the purpose of ensuring their increased integration in the European labour market. Thus, as it is mentioned in the association’s statute, we aim to increase the visibility of this subject, as well as the access to this type of practices, as follows: workshops with graduates from the field of social sciences, providing them with a database of organizations which conduct activities for validating competencies, as well as a forum for exchanging ideas and counselling on the association’s website, organizing an international multidisciplinary conference regarding practices for validating non-formal and informal learning in EU member states and publishing some of the papers which are going to be presented, disseminating two brochures concerning the opportunities which are promoted through EU policies towards this end, as well as offering current information through a periodical policy overview. In the long term this initiative contributes to the consolidation of a Romanian system for acknowledging and validating non-formal and informal learning. Some relevant indicators towards this end are the number of people who are aware of this opportunity which is promoted by the EU, the number of people who apply for the validation of non-formal and informal learning, the number of people who search for a job based on competencies validated in this way, the number of publications and events on this topic. Through appropriate promotion among beneficiaries the association will contribute to the generation of pressure for improving the internal normative framework, as well as to the adoption and application by universities of specific instruments and procedures.
