The project `AS in electronics` involves students in the 11th-12th grade at „Anghel Saligny” College Tulcea, specializing to become technicians in electronics.
The project goal is the development of knowledge, abilities and practical skills of students in practical training in the European area, increasing the relevance of the professional qualification certification system in „Anghel Saligny” College Tulcea.
The parties involved in the project are: participants - 20 students in the 11th-12th grade at „Anghel Saligny” College Tulcea ; the intermediary organization Associação Intercultural Amigos da Mobilidade din Barcelos, Portugalia; the host organization Barceltecnica, Portugal.
The project has the following objectives:
- to develop general technical skills and practical skills, to achieve professional tasks for the electrical equipment technician (adjustment, repair, renovation and maintenance of electrical and electronical installations);
- to facilitate the transition from school to work and the integration on a competitive and selective labor market;
- to introduce the students to electronic circuit design technology with computer acquisition of theoretical knowledge and specialized language;
- to train key practical skills, adaptation technologies and changing work practices necessary for the labor market integration;
-to improve communication skills in English, intercultural skills through contact with the language, customs and culture of other EU countries;
-to build partnerships to support the professional development of the trainees, as well as learning mobility across Europe.
Mobility will be in Portugal in the period:
Flow 1: December 2014 (21 days), 10 students
Flow 2: May 2015 (21 days), 10 students
The results of the project are:
- 20 students involved in the project with specialized technical skills and practical skills in the field of electronic circuits, who will achive a good linguistic and cultural training, reflected in social and communication skills, IT skills in electronic circuits design and simulation, and who will also improve adaptability and train their team spirit.
- 30 CDs containing examples of good practice during practical training of students involved, which will be made available to professional teachers and used as teaching material;
- 1 photo exhibition that will highlight aspects of the practical training period;
- 3 posters and 100 leaflets presenting the project;
- 2 articles in the school magazine before mobility (project presentation) and after mobility (during placement and aspects of the trip);
- 2 articles in the local press;
- 1 web page linked to the main webpage of the College;
- presentation of the project's activities on CCD Tulcea website and on www.didactic.ro
The project and its results will have a high impact on increasing the transition from school to work for the participants, on increasing their competitiveness by adapting graduates to the requirements of the labor market, as well as on the prestige of the school in the local community.
