Participating organizations involved in this project work on variety of issues aiming to achieve common goal – create social inclusive society where all people feel valued, their differences are respected, and their basic needs are met so they can live in dignity (Cappo 2002) and are not facing social exclusion or discrimination. To be able to fight social exclusion and discrimination the participants organizations are in need of new approaches, tools and partnerships that would provide them new inputs to their work and increase their ability to respond on the challenges in the most quality way. The project Arts: Agents of Community Change includes two mobility activities – training course and seminar aiming to increase the competencies of the participants to implemented arts based approach in their practices and to use different arts based activities such as drawing, painting, storytelling, theatre improvisation, dance, photography, poetry and interdisciplinary work for their self-development and professional development as youth workers. With help of these arts based methods participants will develop their individual (leadership, coaching) skills and also learn how to use art activities to empower and encourage young people including young people with fewer opportunities to become actively involved in their communities, to tackle community challenges and respond on them. Moreover, for the organizations and other stakeholders the project will be an opportunity to also get to know arts-based placemaking approach stimulating local economies, increasing innovation, cultural diversity and civic engagement. Moreover the seminar aims support interaction among representatives of different sectors (youth, art, business, local institutions) on the platform of arts based and arts based placemaking approach. To raise knowledge among different representatives about the possibilities that this approach is providing, support sharing lessons, creating networks and partnerships. One of the key results of the project will be new develop practices, lessons learned and tools that will be gather in online booklet. Other product will be series of video interviews published on YouTube and spread through partners’ networks in way to increase interest of other organizations, youth workers or actors representing other sectors in arts based approach. Besides directly involved participants and participating organizations from the project will be also benefit local communities of participating countries, especially young people including young people with fewer opportunities. The project will connect participants coming from following countries: Albania, Serbia, Italy, Kosovo, Czech Republic, Turkey, Montenegro, Republic of Macedonia, Malta, Poland and Bosnia and Herzegovina and the project activities will be implemented in June and July 2016. Training course will be held in Pogradec, Albania and Seminar in Rahovec, Kosovo.
