The initiative for creating two « Cités des Métiers » in French speaking Belgium, one in Liège and one in Charleroi, gives ground to this project. A third “Cité des Métiers” could come to being in the capital city. What is a “Cité des Métiers” (CDM)? First of all, it is a public service, free and accessible to all. It is open to people in search for orientation and training advice, as well as for those looking for support in their job hunting. All CDM are based on a multiple partnership including counselors sent by the school orientation services, professional counselors for adults, etc. This Erasmus + mobility project aims at appropriating the methodologies displayed in the CDM from partner countries having the structure already available. Our partners have been chosen because they do share a common labeled base, while having different practices. These various practices take into account the social, economic, cultural and geographic particularities of each region. “Orientation à Douze” wishes to send a lot of Belgian counselors to train in this plan of action and acquire new competences in the following fields: interpersonal relationships, teamwork, ability to communicate, identification of the consultant's needs. They will also have to learn the methodology to organize and lead informative meetings as well as the methodology and tools to evaluate the competences of the users.
